Honest Mistake - 31 March

I walked into the ladies toilet by accident today. I've moved desk to the other side of the building recently and the doors are the other way around there. It was a bit of a disconnect when there was no urinal, but the stacks of female hygiene products gave me a clue as to what had happened. I ducked out before I was spotted.

Random thoughts:

  • I had lunch in the park today with an old colleague. The ducks in Blackrock park are very forward. We saw a lame one. These details are mostly unrelated.
  • vodafone.ie is an awful web site. Slow and unfriendly. If you open two windows on it they session key confuses it and requests in one get reflected in the other. Silly. I just want to pay my bill.
  • Tomorrow is April fool's day. What jolly japes will people get up to? I can't wait -- can you?
  • I have a new orange shirt.

I'm behind in my reading. Currently open on my bedside table are Possession, Venice and Invisible Cities. Sally is reading a Venice related book (the name of which escapes me) as is Anna (The Thief Lord). I'm still reading to Anna most nights which we both enjoy. It's better than reading to Paddy. Fox in Sox is fun the first couple of times around, but not the seventh. You can usually persuade him to read it to you though which can be funny.

Venice is the one I'm really reading. I wanted to like Possession but I find the academia just too much to bear. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to find the main characters' literary obsessions tedious, but I do.
