Happy New Year - 1 January

I am a little weary today. Last night we had folk for dinner, champagne and fireworks and it all went on very late indeed. However it was very enjoyable and an excellent way to start the year.

After rising and having a fortifying breakfast (ok, lunch), we went for a walk on the beach which was lovely. Paddy got caught by a wave and subsequently called out Careful! Water! whenever anyone got too close to the water's edge.

One of our friends had a Nikon Coolpix camera with them last night and I liked it very much. It was a bit odd to hold it as it twitched slightly, readjusting the focus as things happened in it's field of vision, but this aside, it sat nicely in the hand and took nice pictures.

I want one.

Sally and I were cleaning out the fridge and as I looked at the best before date on some produce, I realised we had missed our third wedding anniversary which was on the 30th. We had gone to the pub for a pint but that was coincidental and a not very fitting celebration for our marriage lasting longer than the term of the loan we took out to pay for the wedding.

I guess that means we can take out another loan and have another party.
